When you have had spray foam insulation in your loft space, your rafters are at risk of wood rot and timber decay and removing the foam from your loft space is the correct thing to do, just ask a professional surveyor.
The Compo Matte™ rafter insulation protection system is manufactured from single use plastics and when used over the rafters offers so many benefits. You can have a 75mm pressed foam board between the rafters and the Compo Matte™ product and by using the rafter insulation protection system, the roof and the product are protected, their is a minimum 25mm air gap maintained in between the rafters allowing full ventilation and air flow to the loft space.
